Because of the 5/6th grade track meets going on we have not had P.E. this week and since our kiddos split up into three different classes during specials the P.E. kids have gotten to hang back and have the classroom to themselves for 25 minutes. We broke out our sight word jenga this morning and had some intense battles..

Name collection posters
In math this afternoon we made some posters to show that numbers can be represented with many different ideas. For example, 13 can be shown using tallies, money, popsicle sticks, addition and subtraction problems, dominoes, etc. Students worked in partnerships to think of different ways to show their number. We worked with numbers 11-19.
