Having fun learning about recycling paper

This afternoon everyone got the chance to learn about how paper is recycled. We first put about two feet of tissue paper in a tube and added water. We then had to shake the tube for about 3 minutes until it had turned to a pulp. We then strained the pulp with a screen, used a sponge to soak up more of the water, and then flattened by rolling it out with the tube we had used to shake up the paper.
